A big voice deserves an equally big song and that’s just what Ella Eyre has accomplished. Eyre unveiled her latest single ‘If I Go‘, which received its premiere as Zane Lowe’s hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 last night (May 14th).
The 20-year-old Brit award winner delivers an incredibly strong vocal, and serves as the follow up to ‘Deeper‘ and the infectious ‘Waiting All night‘ with Rudimental. With production from Jarred Rogers (Lana Del Rey, Tinie Tempah, Mark Ronson) ‘If I Go‘ and highlights Eyre’s mature and soulful sound and packs a punch with this rousing stormer of a track. Speaking with Zane Lowe about the personal nature of the song, Eyre commented:
“It was a way to share myself and my experiences with everyone.”
Having kicked off 2014 as runner up in the BBC’s Sound of 2014 poll as well as Brits Critic Choice awards, 2014 is Eyre’s for the taking. ‘If I Go’ is set for release July 6th and is available to pre-order now, while her debut album is due later this year. Upcoming performances for Eyre include all the main festivals such as Parklife Weekender, Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, Wireless, and a sold out headline gig at Electric Brixton June 12th.
