The Killers – Runaways

They’re back!! The Killers have confirmed their new album, ‘Battle Born‘, will be released on September 17th. This will be the first album for the band in 4 years, so it’s been highly anticipated by many fans around the world.

Runaways

The debut single ‘Runaways’, got it’s first play earlier this evening, with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1. Front man, Brandon Flowers commented, that although he is nervous about returning to the music scene, he is confident in the track and promises lots of new material for their fans:

“I’ve always felt good about this song. It’s exciting to think that we’re gonna be playing again. We want people to hear this new stuff.”

Still sounding strong after 4 years, Runaways has a distinct ‘Killers’ vibe about it with elements of ‘When You Were Young’ also creeping in. Other tracks on the upcoming album include: ‘Heart Of A Girl’, ‘Flesh And Bone’ and ‘Carry Me Home’.

Reflecting on the album title ‘Battle Born’, Flowers said:

“Whenever I needed help lyrically, I thought of that phrase and it helped me. There’s some triumphant moments..”

Watch out for The Killers, making their highly anticipated return to the stage, at V Festival this August. In the meantime, check out the new single ‘Runaways‘ below!
